Installing an undermount sink in a concrete countertop is similar to installing it into other countertops with a few small but important differences. Simply add a lag screw and then snug it down with a ratchet. If they are too short they won t be able to hold all of the concrete you need for the installation. Install the sink where it needs to go and ensure it s level from side to side and front to back.

Install the adjacent countertop slabs over the sink sandwiching it between the countertop and the cabinet frame. For drilling into concrete use a hammer drill and a concrete bit. For drilling into tile use a tile bit to drill the holes. The process can be long but patience will yield some satisfying results.

They can be mounted to stud walls wood steel and masonry walls cmu concrete etc. The pedestal sink must be mounted to the floor for stability. The technique for doing this will vary depending on the type of floor. Caution because of the weight of the sinks themselves and the added weight of dishes and water undermount sinks are best suited for more solid weight bearing countertop surfaces like marble concrete quartz or granite.

Test the boards by placing them along the first board. Then add a thorough coat of a release agent spray to help prevent the concrete from sticking to the edge liner and sink knockouts. Old faucets might need the old block support which simply clips into the sink holes. The box is 2 wider than the sink mold on all sides and sloped in the front to follow the slope of the sink mold.

Be sure not to over tighten. For concrete countertops the concrete should not bear the weight of the sink. Use silicone or siliconized acrylic kitchen and bath caulk. If you re installing a sink cut 4 more boards to fit along the outline you drew.
