For a solid fence line you will need to have wooden fence posts wherever there are corners and for bracing at the corners.

Brace the gate hinge post to the f rst line post.
The hinge post must be of suff cient size to support the weight of the gate.
Use a spade or post hole borer to dig your post holes roughly a spade and a half wide and deep enough to leave a 50mm clearance gap beneath the gate so it can open freely.
We strongly suggest that the bracing between the hinge post and f rst line post for larger and heavier rail or driveway gates should be done as shown above.
